Join the InSpirit Center in welcoming the Stations of the Cosmic Christ.
The Stations of the Cosmic Christ is a spiritual display for people of all faiths and all religions. The spiritual guidance of the display was created by Dr. Matthew Fox and Episcopal Bishop Marc Andrus. The art itself was created by M.C. Richards and Ullrrich Javier Lemus. The display comprises sixteen “stations,” each of which can be, at the very least, recognized as a beautiful sculpture of gallery quality surrealistic art. Even better, it can be used as a meditative practice for connection into the Divinity of every being within the Universe. Better yet, it forms a devotional ritual exercise that allows recognition of the Image of God within us, to awaken, ignite, and excite our emotions by a renewal of awe, wonder, appreciation, creativity, and celebration of the deep sacredness and Oneness of the Universe.
The Cosmic Christ is not a person, it is a Principle of God that encompasses everyone, yet is not exclusive to any religion. In order to broaden the Christ concept into one of the entire Cosmos, the display does use terms that Jesus used in his teachings, but of a much wider than conventional interpretation that is fully inclusive to everyone. This approach greatly amplifies the Immensity, the Intensity, and the Intimacy of the ensuing mystical experience.
